Some
Performers in 2008
The
Little Big Band - This “big band” combo brings
their sounds of the 30's and 40's to the Fun Fair again
this year. Wear your dancing shoes….
Emil
Skobeloff - With his big bluesy sound, Emil
is a frequent performer in the area. A powerful voice
and great guitar.
Steve
DiBonaventura - This is Steve's first time
at the Fun Fair but his virtuoso performance on the
banjo is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Art
Miron – Whether performing solo or with a
group, Art's great voice and choice of folk-rock-swing
sounds makes him a frequent favorite with his audiences.
Housecalls
- This local bluegrass group has been with
us many times and we welcome them back to the Fun Fair
again this year.
92nd
Street - Doug Hill - We heard Doug recently
at a COOP gathering and asked him to join us at the
Fun Fair. His selection of original and cover tunes
will be a welcome addition to the day.
Al
Bien- Known for his role as the owner of Swarthmore
Music, Al has been a familiar face in town for many
years. He brings his talent as a musician and performer
to the Fun Fair stage.
Irving
Street Blues Band- Their sound is fashioned
after the classic Memphis studio sound of Booker T and
the MG's, Albert Collins, Jimi Hendrix and others. These
boys have achieved, at a very young age, a special sound
that usually requires decades of experience and discipline.
And
more….
